Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure that tuition sessions run smoothly, fairly and consistently for all families. By booking tuition with First Class Education, parents/carers agree to the following terms.
1. Fees and Payment
Tuition fees will be confirmed before a pupil's place is secured.
Payment must be made with cash on the day on via Bank Transfer no latee than 24hrs after the session has concluded
First Class Education reserves the right to review tuition fees. Parents/carers will be given reasonable notice of any changes.
2. Regular Tuition Places
A regular tuition slot is reserved specifically for your child.
Where tuition is booked as an ongoing weekly arrangement, payment secures the agreed tuition place rather than being dependent upon attendance.
3. Cancellations – 1-to-1 Tuition
If your child is unable to attend a session, please provide as much notice as possible.
Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice may, where possible, be rearranged to another mutually convenient time.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full.
Any rearranged sessions are subject to tutor availability and cannot be guaranteed.
4. Group Tuition
Places within small-group tuition sessions are limited and your child's place is reserved for them.
If your child is unable to attend a group session, the session remains payable and cannot be transferred, refunded or carried over.
Where appropriate, resources from the missed session may be provided.
5. Tutor Cancellations
If First Class Education needs to cancel a session, parents/carers will be offered either:
-
an alternative session;
-
a credit towards a future session; or
-
a refund for the cancelled session.
6. Illness
Children who are significantly unwell should not attend in-person tuition.
Please notify First Class Education as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend due to illness.
Where appropriate and practical, an online session may be offered as an alternative, but this cannot be guaranteed.
7. Punctuality
Please ensure that pupils arrive on time and are collected promptly at the end of their session.
Unfortunately, sessions cannot normally be extended where a pupil arrives late, as another pupil or session may follow.
Parents/carers remain responsible for their child before the agreed start time and immediately following the agreed finish time.
8. Behaviour
We aim to provide a positive, supportive and respectful learning environment.
Pupils are expected to behave appropriately towards tutors, other pupils and property.
If behaviour repeatedly prevents effective teaching or significantly disrupts other pupils, this will be discussed with the parent/carer.
First Class Education reserves the right to end a pupil's tuition where serious or persistent behaviour makes continued tuition inappropriate.
9. Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of pupils is our priority.
First Class Education follows appropriate safeguarding procedures and will act upon any safeguarding concerns in accordance with its safeguarding responsibilities.
Parents/carers must provide accurate emergency contact information and inform us of any relevant information necessary to support their child's safety and wellbeing during tuition.

This information will be treated sensitively and used to help us provide appropriate support.
11. Learning and Progress
Tuition will be planned to support each pupil's learning, confidence and progress.
While every effort will be made to help pupils achieve their potential, First Class Education cannot guarantee particular examination results, school grades, 11+ outcomes or admission to a particular school.
Regular feedback may be provided to parents/carers regarding progress and areas for development.
12. Resources and Homework
Pupils may occasionally be provided with activities or work to complete between sessions.

Parents/carers wishing to give up a regular tuition place should provide two weeks' notice.
First Class Education may also end tuition by providing reasonable notice.
Immediate termination may be necessary in exceptional circumstances, including serious behaviour, safeguarding concerns or persistent non-payment.
15. School Holidays
Normal tuition arrangements during school holidays will be communicated to parents/carers in advance.
Parents should not assume that regular sessions automatically continue or stop during school holidays unless this has been confirmed.
16. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal information will only be collected and used where necessary for the administration and provision of tuition and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
Information will be stored securely and will not be shared unnecessarily with third parties.
